Check below to see what we recommend to eat at Whitfield
East Liberty not only has a new hotel, Ace, but also a new restaurant, Whitfield. The brainchild of culinary team Brent Young (culinary partner), Bethany Zozula (executive chef), and Casey Shively (pastry chef), Whitfield is serving up Western Pennsylvanian-inspired comfort food focusing on in-house butchering and as much locally-sourced products as possible. The respect for awesome local goods is prevalent in each room’s minibar as well.
Whitfield (and the Ace) encourages you to come and hang out. Whether grabbing drinks and some late night bites at the bar, a latte at the coffee bar, or a three-course meal at Whitfield, you are encouraged to come and have a straight up chill session. Stay for an hour, an evening, or even overnight.
Whitfield offers brunch every day from 7 am – 3 pm and dinner from 5 pm until about 11 pm. A late night menu is also available at the bar until 2 am.
eatPGH’s perfect menu at Whitfield:
Starter: Wedge Salad and Lamb Carpaccio
Entrees: Roasted Carrot Risotto is an outstanding vegetarian option while the Smoked Chicken is equally as delicious. Meat lovers will appreciate the various cuts of steak and the housemade cheeseburger.
Dessert: Olive Oil Chocolate Cake and the Lemon Mousse. We hear the Fried Apples taste like a better version of the McD’s apple pie.
Reservations can be made via OpenTable and the full menu can be found here.
