Even though it’s not technically Fall until late September, I was in the mood for a hearty meal last Saturday. I turned to Molly Brannigan’s Sheppard’s Pie. I’ve had some great Sheppard’s Pie… in Ireland. Nothing has come close to touching that experience including this. The Sheppard’s Pie at Molly Brannigan’s was pretty traditional. When a restaurant is known for something I like to give it a try. A signature dish can tell a lot about the rest of the menu. II Pizzaiolo’s in Mt. Lebanon is known for its brick oven pizza so naturally I got a pizza. After a short wait at the back wine bar which is quaint and carry’s itself with a warm comfortable atmosphere, we took our seats outside. – Mt. Lebanon Brunch– Not just the meal that combines breakfast and lunch food, but an excuse to eat after you have had breakfast and before you have lunch. This AM, I tackled some brunch at Bistro 19. I ordered the Bananas Foster Pancakes, served with fresh bananas and a caramelized whiskey sauce. (See above) Now let me break this sauce down for you.
