Smoke BBQ Taqueria
Check below to see what we recommend to eat and drink at Smoke BBQ Taqueria
If you ever went to Smoke BBQ Taqueria in Homestead you might remember the charming decor, the cash only payment, and the delicious tacos. Now located on Butler Street next to Row House Cinema in Lawrenceville, Smoke still has the charming decor, cash only payment, and delicious tacos… but now they also have booze. Rejoice!
The menu at the newly expanded location is almost identical. Various pork, chicken, beef, and veggie tacos are available on fresh flour tortillas with toppings to enhance the meat’s smoked flavor. Prices do seem steep at times depending on the protein you pick. Sides vary from queso (please bring back Frito Scoops!) to black beans.
If you’re throwing a party, you can also buy meat by the pound. Choose from brisket, chicken, pork, bacon, ribs, and chorizo.
The charming, rustic space is much larger than Homestead so you won’t have to make friends with strangers like the good ole’ days.
If you’re looking for a great date, head to Smoke on a Monday. Every Monday you can bring tacos into Row House to enjoy while watching the feature movie.
eatPGH’s perfect menu at Smoke BBQ Taqueria:
Starter: Queso with fresh tortilla chips
Tacos: Brisket with sautéed onions, hot peppers and mustard sauce
Sides: Jalapeño Apple Slaw (it’s better than the mac & cheese, we don’t care what you say)
Cocktail: Aqua Fresca of the day + shot of vodka, gin, or bourbon depending on the flavor
