Pittsburgh Food Trucks
The food truck scene in Pittsburgh isn’t rapidly growing like it is in other cities around the country. Still we are gaining a few new trucks despite the strict regulations facing the mobile vendors. We’ve been lucky enough to dine at Franktuary, BRGR, The Taco Truck and The Pierogi Truck at local events, but lately, there are a few new trucks to try. Now you can order gourmet mac and cheese from The Mac & Gold Truck, gourmet burgers from The Steer & Wheel and bbq, Italian, Latin American, hot dogs and more from The Burgh Bites Cart.
Events held around the city often host street food for hungry patrons. This weekend, you can find a handful at Neighborhood Flea in the Strip District.
For a list of food trucks in the area (we currently have 12… and counting!) as well as current regulations (like how a truck can’t stick around for longer than 30 minutes…) you can visit PGH Mobile Food. And to find out where you can keep track of them so you can get a meal on the go, stay tuned here!
