Pittsburgh has tried it’s hand at tiki drinks in bars and restaurants across the city. It’s about time we get a bar that is dedicated to the boozy, colorful, flavorful and fun drinks. From the teal barstools to the shark shaped swizzle sticks Hidden Harbor didn’t overlook any fun details. The delightful (and handsome!) bartenders will shake, stir and serve up beverages with flair, and we aren’t just referring to their green palm aprons. The attention to detail in each drink makes each one an experience in itself.
The new bar, next to sister space Independent Brewing is a welcome addition to Squirrel Hill. Brothers, Pete and Matt Kurzweg done good man. They done good.
A few shareable snacks dot the menu, including the MUST HAVE Pulled Pork Sliders (on pineapple buns from Pink Box bakery) provide a great balance of sweet and savory. Plus they come with tiny paper umbrellas! The veggie tacos are also a tasty treat, served 3 to an order they’re perfect for sharing.
But the drinks guys. The drinks. You can get a super boozy drink served in a pineapple (order that with a friend), you can get one served in a coconut shaped glass. Whichever one you order will feature some type of fun accoutrement… case in point:
Unique flavor combinations, local liquor and fun flair all make these tiki drinks an awesome addition to the Pittsburgh bar scene.
