Family Farm Creameries: Homegrown Ice Cream
When the sun is out in Pittsburgh and the weather is fine, it can only mean one thing: ICE CREAM TIME! (Really, for us, every hour of the day is ice cream o’clock. For serious.)
Since it is almost summer, lets talk ice creamy goodness and our new pals, Family Farm Creameries. Family Farm Creameries sources milk from Brunton Dairy to craft their ever revolving, unique flavors of Homegrown Ice Cream. Brunton Dairy is a local dairy farm in Aliquippa that, among other things, produces ludicrously delicious chocolate milk.
We’ve had the chance to check them out on several occasions at their regular location at the Pittsburgh Public Market and the Market Square Farmer’s Market on Thursdays.
Make sure to try some free samples! Flavors come in cones, bowls, and pints to take home. You can also sign up for an ice cream CSA and pick up a different flavor every week, which is basically a freaking dream!
Oh, and guess what? Family Farm Creameries will have Landlocked Vanilla ice cream at our May 30th Urban Supper Picnic with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership! Buy your tickets today.
So thanks Family Farm Creameries for the ice cream and being so delicious!
