Escape the winter blues at Hidden Harbor
If you haven’t been to Squirrel Hill’s Hidden Harbor, you’re really missing out!
This tiki bar is slinging some fine cocktails and the attention to detail throughout the whole place, from the decor to the accouterments that accompany your drink are unlike any other place in the ‘Burgh.
Let’s start with the cocktails. Aren’t they just beauties?
Rum is the name of the game here. A safe bet is the Greenjacket: Maggie’s Farm white rum, lime, sugar, cryo-muddled mint. But as you look through the menu that has photos of what the actual drinks look like- genius! – things get really interesting and creative. Be sure to ask your bartender or server on what they recommend. You won’t be disappointed, promise.
If you go with a group, shareable cocktails are where it’s at!
Look at this beauty!
And, the food! Hidden Harbor just revamped its offerings to include these AMAZING ‘chos: Queso-Avocado Nachos with poblano-queso sauce, shredded lettuce, house salsa, and avocado aioli. Grilled chicken, spicy steak, or both can be added for an upcharge.
There’s also tacos and a variety of shareable bites. What’s impressive is the amount of vegetarian options from pineapple poke to the jackfruit bahn mini and lightly fried eggplant tacos with chickpeas, tomato, garlic, onion, and roasted-garlic aioli.
The best time to visit is happy hour, Tuesday through Friday from 5-7 pm featuring:
