eatPGH Parties with Mrs. T’s
There are a lot of ways to spend a summer night in Pittsburgh. One of our favorite ways is to don our black and gold and cheer on the buccos with thousands of our fellow Pirates fans.
What makes all of that even sweeter is when we can watch from the suite seats while stuffing our faces with pierogies. We were both hella excited and humbled to be invited as guests of Mrs. T’s Pierogies. Our view was amazing, as all are from beautiful PNC Park and the snacks were off the hook. Listen, if you never thought of adding mini pierogies to your popcorn, you need to seriously rethink the way you live your life.
We got to share the cozy suite with some other fantastic food/burgh loving folks, hey guyssssss! *waves*, and some super fun Mrs. T’s Pierogies reps. We got to chat about all the great things this city has to offer and all the great history that resides in those lil pockets of dough. It’s awesome to see a brand not only embrace the product’s history but to also give back to the community in real ways. So, for that, thanks! 🙂
Now… onto what really matters. THE FOOD. Sure we had hotdogs. Sure there was beer. Yea we had some sliders… but obviously the hits of the night were the buffalo mini pierogies. HOLY SPICY BATMAN. Thankfully we had some beer cheese dipping sauce. Super easy recipe that you can make at home: mix those dumplings with melted butter, cayenne hot sauce and chili powder and bake. (Recipe found here.)
The Pierogy Popcorn I mentioned earlier.. yea. Lifechanging. Simply melt butter and mix in minced garlic and rosemary. Fry those puppies and sprinkle with salt and parmesan cheese then toss with your favorite popcorn!
As if that wasn’t enough, we also binged on Pierogy Fries. More parmesan coated, golden fried amazingness. (Recipe found here.)
Once fully stuffed, we were treated to the infamous dessert cart. One ice cream sundae in a Pirates helmet please and thank you. Oh, but the layer cakes, and soft cookies…
While the buccos were beat out by the Phillies that night, I think we allllll know who the winners were. Thanks to Mrs. T’s Pierogies for the invite and generous evening. We had a blast and will now never want to attend a game without Pierogi Popcorn ever again.
