eatPGH set out on our first ever all-hands-on-deck road trip in early November. We know some pretty stellar dudes in the great city of Buffalo, and we had a collective hankering for some wings.
4 hours and about 15 sandwiches, one bag of chips, and 12 brownies after exiting the 412, we found ourselves tearing up the dance floor at the City Dining Cards — Buffalo launch. (Shameless plug: In case you aren’t already in the know, City Dining Cards — Pittsburgh supplies you with 52 deals of awesome on local eating establishments. You can order them here and get free shipping by using “eatPGH” as the promo and shipping code. And…scene.)
Hours of dancing filled our open hearts with Buffa-love, and we fell even deeper when we retired to our posh hotel, The Hotel at the Lafayette. Completely renovated and designed by über hip Buffalo design company, Room, this place is built for sexy time. Fire places in the center of the room. Peek-a-boo showers. Super plush mattresses.
The next day was spent getting our Buffalo knowledge on. Points of interest:
- Buffalo is full of Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, amidst normal homes. “Oh, no big deal, just park in front of the Frank Lloyd Wright when you come to my BBQ.”
- Buffalo has art. Cool art.
- Buffalo’s park system was designed by Frederick Olmsted, the same character behind NYC’s Central Park.
- Buffalo has some DELICIOUS eats.
Lets talk about that last one a bit more, cool? We had to do some pants loosening after our journey — and we want to prepare you for a similar oh-so-filling trip!
