City Dining Cards – Pittsburgh
City Dining Cards have landed in town and are hitting the streets… hard!
If you haven’t heard about these decks of awesome, let me fill you in:
Each deck is $20 and 5% of the purchase price of each deck gets donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
Each deck has 52 cards:
- 50 cards are discount cards for $10 off a food purchase of $30 or more at 50 LOCAL restaurants (many of which are in our book). And, these are actually restaurants you will want to go to, including Osteria 2350, e2, Root 174, The Porch at Schenley, and many, many more. (A full listing of participating restaurants can be found here.)
- 2 cards in the deck are Wild Cards, giving you one free small coffee or espresso at Espresso a Mano and one free beer at The Church Brew Works.
They make GREAT gifts for basically everyone who enjoys eating. If you are thinking about giving our book away as a gift, these cards make a great addition!
So, for only a 20 dolla bill, you get 50 $10 discount cards to locally owned restaurants, saving you over $500 if you use all 50 discount cards. If you use at minimum two of the cards, you have already made your money back!
Do I really need to convince you any more to purchase these?

Love this idea! I live in Chicago and saw the Dining Deck Pittsburg and a bunch of other destinations including London, England at this site: http://store.thedrinkdeck.com . I got one for my family in Syracuse and I use Drink Deck, the bar guide, in Chicago. Check it out!
I live in Buffalo, the home of City Dining Cards. Whenever my bf and I can’t decide where to eat, we just pick one out of the deck. It’s a great way to get out of your usual restaurant rut! Looking forward to seeing your post on your trip to Buffalo!
I bought the city dining cards today…but your promo card did not work. I noticed the article is dated October 2012, so you may want to update this article with a note to readers that the promo code no longer works.
