Cine Brunch

Do you ever think: “Something is missing from my Saturday morning?” I never did (probably because I typically ignore my alarm and miss the morning entirely), but now I know that I WAS missing something: Cine Brunch. I repeat: Cine Brunch.

Held every 2nd Saturday at The Oaks Theater in delightful Oakmont, Cine Brunch is brunch and a classic movie. This past Saturday, I spent the hours between 10AM and 1PM indulging in a buffet brunch provided by Oakmont Bakery (EEEEE!!!!) and watching Gene Kelly tap across the screen in Singing In The Rain. It was a glorious feeling — I was happy again! Just brunching, just brunching in the rain on a Saturday! (see what I did there? anyone?)

The November and December outings are going to be equally as awesome: Wizard of Oz and White Christmas respectively.

It is hard to find a good Saturday brunch, but brunch on a Saturday and a slice of old Hollywood? I think this might be love! (And a seriously legitimate reason to not hit snooze.)
