Brownie Mug
Sometimes you want a brownie at 10 p.m. but your oven doesn’t work and you don’t have anything to make brownies. So you turn to Pinterest and search “brownie mug” and are eating cookies from a mug in less than 5 minutes. Welcome to my life. Be jealous.
The only pre-made mix I had in my pantry was peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Not a brownie but close enough. And after searching Pinterest for .5 seconds I went to work on the easiest dessert in the history of the world.
I like baking because it requires patient and exact measurement. It’s not often you can stray from a recipe and have the result taste amazing. Well, probably if you are anyone else but me. But not even I could mess this up so go forth and microwave people!
Cookie Mug Recipe
1/2 a bag of cookie mix
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon egg (I used Egg Beaters Egg Whites – I’m watching my figure)
1 tablespoon water
Chocolate Chips (optional)
Step 1: Combine all those ingredients in a bowl and scoop into a microwaveable safe mug.
Step 2: Cook for 1:30 – 2:00 minutes.
Step 3: Eat.
For an extra touch I used all those calories I saved by using Egg Beaters Egg Whites and poured chocolate syrup on top of my cookie. But do as you please, no one is judging you here.
I was so shocked at how good this was that I probably will never make anything without first consulting Pinterest. Thank you for creating a monster crafty ladies of the world! Excuse me while I go and try and figure out what else I can make in a mug.

watching your figure get fatter and fatter?
the eggs are the only part of the recipe that has any nutrional value, yet you skimped on it ‘for your figure’. but you didnt skip a beat over the heaps of sugar in the mix.

Thanks for your comment, the oak but apparently the sarcasm and irony behind that comment you’re referring to was lost on you. I’ll eat another cookie mug in your honor. – Julie
Looks fantastic! What size bag of cookie mix?
I used one of these packages. http://www.bettycrocker.com/products/cookie-mix
Wanted to add a note saying how happy I am that I tried this recipe. Made mine with brownie mix. Came out cake-y and lighter than a brownie. Just right for a late night snack.
That is awesome news! Glad you enjoyed it!!
