Waffles INCaffeinated
Sarah and I, both hailing from the Beav (Beaver County) have been hearing so many great things from friends about Waffles INCaffeinated. We finally made the trek to New Brighton on Sunday. We read that it is best to make reservations and I’m glad we did because there are like 2 tables in the entire place. Ok, so there are a few more… but not many. Makes it look super exclusive and all. The staff was SUPER friendly when we got there and our table wasn’t ready. I should have spoken up and asked for a table outside because their patio was so pretty and it was such a beautiful morning. Next time.
We were seated and promptly ordered some French Press coffee. They use beans from Hallowed Grounds right up the street from Waffles INCaffeinated. I was impressed they had French Press coffee on the menu and it was delightful. Because I couldn’t make up my mind as to which waffle to get… I ordered 3. Yes you read that correctly. I ordered not one, not two but three different waffles. Hey! I wanted to make the most of that drive! I ordered the Bruschetta Waffle, the Sausage and Gravy Waffle (half order) and I suckered Sarah into sharing the French Toast Waffle even though she ordered the Breakfast Magic Waffle.
Ok, so the Bruschetta Waffle was by far and away the best thing we ordered. It had tomatoes, onions, CAPERS (I love capers!) and a balsamic reduction. The Sausage Gravy Waffle was good… the sausage was crumbled so small, which I liked but it was a little bland. It could have used some salt or seasoning but I think the concept deserves a high five. The French Toast Waffle was actually bread that they stuck in the waffle iron. We should have tried it with the recommended almonds, strawberries and bananas. Again, next time. But Sarah ate the heck out of it, sopping it up with the mascarpone sauce. Lastly, the Breakfast Magic Waffle was another waffle with the best of intentions. Over-medium egg with bacon crumbles! Sarah didn’t order the sour cream but realized it needed a little bit of something. Salsa? Hot Sauce?
For those of you who don’t like waffles… (silly) they do have some other menu items that looked pretty darn good. Sandwiches, salads.
I’d make the trek again. But I’d sit outside. With 2 orders of the Bruschetta Waffles.

Anything Tahj Merriman touches turns to…awesome food. Also worth noting: Beaver Falls Coffee & Tea Co. serves Waffles Inc. waffles on Saturdays.
You should have tried a fruit waffle or the potatoes and mentioned that there are many add ins! LOVE this place.
Mary, gals can only eat so many waffles in one sitting… but you can rest assured, we will be back to take on more! And we’ll try the potatoes, thanks for the fyi!
