Pistacia Vera
A bakery with treats almost too lovely to eat, tasty French-inspired breakfast, and a peppy brother and sister ownership duo.
What is…Pistacia Vera? Ding ding ding.
This aesthetically simple and airy shop serves up the best bakery treats in Columbus (at least according to our very unscientific polling methods of asking strangers on the street) and one hell of a breakfast. The duo ownership team of siblings Anne and Spencer (Anne being all business and Spencer being all baking) created a sunny space with large windows that look directly in to the baking area from the street and cozy dining spaces. The bakery makes treats throughout the day, so they are never totally out of confections – which can sometimes be the case in other outposts.
In addition to the quality baked goods on site, one can dive into a host of good breakfast options. We tried the baked eggs, which scored a 1 million on the delightfulness meter; the quiche; and a killer pan au chocolat.
Pistacia Vera is worth a stop or four. Treats like this aren’t easy to come by in C-Bus. We looked.
