Jorgensen Farms is your spot for all of this and more. Treated to a morning of minting, farm kitten cuddling, and the wonderful words of Val Jorgensen, owner and caretaker, we got a first hand look at one of the spots for the Columbus restaurant scene’s local goodness. It is no wonder the chef’s we encountered were all about about locally sourced goods. When the farmers, like Val, are so passionate — it carries over!

The 65 acre Jorgensen Farms hosts a farm supper every third Sunday of the month.One long table which sits about 100 people is set-up in the sun-flower field (eeek! sounds too, too good!) and diners are served family style with food grown on the farm. So if you are really hungry for fresh fare — come and get it!

On our visit, Val noted that “Good food is medicine.” Truth. And good food is most often sourced from a good farm.
