Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream

No trip to Columbus is complete without a trip to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream. Jeni’s is a Columbus institution — and the lines prove it.

The ice cream flavor combos at the Jeni’s shops scattered around town are truly crazy and fun. Do you really want to eat ice cream with sweet corn in it? The answer is yes. At least at Jeni’s. We tried several — from whiskey and pecan (tasted like whiskey. and pecans. and wonderfulness) to salty caramel (guess what, it tasted like salty caramel).

Every flavor, crazy and otherwise, is home made. Not an ounce of unnatural anything. It kind of makes you feel good about what you are eating. And when that happens, things can get out of hand. Better order bigger pants now.
