Art Institute of Pittsburgh Student Portfolio Review
There’s nothing better than watching a bunch of young soon to be graduates attempting to sell themselves to potential employees. Ah, the Art Institute Student Portfolio Review! Ok, so there’s something better… the fact that the culinary arts students cook up a storm for the event and I was lucky enough to attend and feast upon their works of art. It was an especially hot day in the burgh so I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie wrap, which was loaded with fresh summer vegetables like yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes and more! They were marinated in a vinaigrette and paired with a mayo based spread all wrapped up in a seasoned wrap. They offered homemade potato chips, lightly salted and oh so crispy and potato salad, a summer must have. And, to polish off the picnic-like meal, a butterscotch cake. Oh yea, the students did a great job. I was super impressed by the talent coming out of Pittsburgh. Makes me proud to know we are cranking out individuals with creativity and drive. They’re going to continue to put our city on the map!
