Golden Pig

I’ve never had Korean food before. I’ve never had anything even close to Korean food. The flavors were so intense that I was actually sweating. Not sweating like hot wing all over sweating but tip of the tongue–lip sweating. The dishes were complex yet made with simple ingredients which gave each one a strange sense of familiarity.

The best part about this whole is experience though is Yong, the owner. She makes every dish with a little piece of her heart. And you can tell. When her grandson was born in 2008, the year of the golden pig, she decided to open up the 10 seat restaurant. You should really thank her son for having that kid because this food is as close to authentic Korean deliciousness as you’re going to find.
