Brunch at Paris 66
Watching people run really works up an appetite! So after cheering for the totally amazing runners of the Pittsburgh marathon, I strolled, slowly, to Paris 66 near Penn Circle for some Sunday brunchin’.
Quite frankly I had only heard mixed reviews on the place, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was truly pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with a “Bonjour” when we walked through the door and the bistro feel is delightful. Springtime in Paris? Yes, please!
For “Le Brunch,” diners can order the set formula option of pancakes with fruit or syrup; a croissant, pan au chocolat, or a palmier; eggs Provencale (eggs, feta, tomato, and pesto); and coffee or juice. Or, you can get a variety of choices a la carte. I went with the set formula menu, only $15. My dining friend went with the quiche lorraine.
I was a little worried that I would have too much food, as if that’s possible, but the portions were exactly right. Sometimes at brunch you can leave feeling like you need to sleep your Sunday away – not the case this morning! The portions was satisfying, but not overfilling. The eggs Provencale were awesome (gotta love that pesto), and the pan au chocolat made my heart smile (flaky perfection!).
For dessert, we tried the chocolate mousse. It was rich and good for sharing.
Au revoir, for now, Paris 66 – thanks for the delicious start to the day!

Glad you had a good experience. I really enjoyed the brunch we had there several months back.
